The AttritiCon International Tournament takes place in the Ulm Bundesfestung. This stronghold once has been the biggest stronghold in Europe. It`s not a medieval stronghold, but its construction has been decided upon at the Vienna Congress, 1815, as an answer to the Capitulation of Ulm, the manuever of Marshal Ney, in which` course he gained his Duke title at nearby Elchingen . The AttritiCon takes place inside the nowadays Club Action, which is the biggest of all public accessible stronghold parts. We play on two levels inside the historical walls, beneath atmospheric vaults, merely twenty meters from the very point where Napoleon received the formal surrender of the Austrian General Mack in 1805.

The AttritiCon is an international tournament with up to 60 players! At the first AttritiCon, special rules to simulate attrition have been introduced, but abandoned later. Hence the name.

The AttritiCon introduces the "AAA", the "AttritiCon Award Award", which awards the best Miniature Award the good players gain.
