Travel Information

- Continental Europe: Ulm is a stop for every train on the Trans-Europe-Orient-Express-Route Paris-Vienna (-Budapest), or ICE-Line Frankfurt-Stuttgart-Ulm-Augsburg-Munich. It's therefore convenient to travel by train.
Ulm is also directly at the junction of the two autobahns A8 (Stuttgart-Munich) and A7 (Wuerzburg-Kempten).

-By air: Nearest airports are Stuttgart and Augsburg. We will provide a shuttle, if sufficient people book. Munich is also close, but not so convenient as you travel too long at the Munich tube. Friedrichshafen (at the Lake Constance, 1hr by direct train from the airfield), is an uprising small alternative, since Ryanair and others offer cheap flights to there. 

- INTERCONTINENTAL guests should check to travel to Frankfurt/M., since there is a direct train from Frankfurt/M airport to Ulm without changing, lasting about 2 hrs 15 min. It is often more time convenient then everything else!

Finding AttritiCon/Club Action inside the Kienlesbergbastion (Werk X) at Ulm:

- Arrival by train:

Take a bus of the lines 3,5 or 6 northbound (directions Universität, Wissenschaftsstadt, Eselsberg, Oberer Hasenkopf) at the opposite platform directly in front of the main station.

The first bus stop (Theater) is directly at the IBIS Hotel.

The AttritiCon is between the second and third bus stop:

If you get off the second bus stop (Kienlesberg), follow the street. When the rocks and walls disappear on the right side, you see the Kienlesbergbastion/Werk X. Cross the streets across the foot bridge. You will directly enter the AttritiCon place (Club Action) via the foot entry.

The third bus stop (Lehrer Tal) is for the Hotel Lehrer Tal. It is closer to the AttritiCon, but line 6 doesn`t stop here. For the Hotel Lehrer Tal go straight forward to the traffic lights. You will see the hotel from there. It`s on the opposite site of the street turning right.
For the AttritiCon walk back the footway along the street under the bridge. Follow the path and cross the foot bridge.

- Arrival by car:

From the south (A7): Follow the signs towards Ulm city center, especially for the yellow sign "B10". Drive on that intracity highway until you head directly onto the walls of the AttritiCon. Leave the highway at the exit "Wohngebiet Eselsberg". Further description below.

From the north (A7): DON´T follow the signs towards Ulm city center, but change at the autobahn junction to the A8, direction Stuttgart. Then follow the description as follows.

From west/east (A8): Get off the autobahn A8 at Ulm WEST. You automatically drive on an other highway (B10) towards Ulm City Center. After the tunnel, you are inside Ulm. Get off the highway at the first exit (IKEA to the right). Follow the turnaround full 360 degrees and re-enter the same highway into the other direction. You are now heading directly to the walls of the AttritiCon.  Avoid crashing into the walls and leave immediately again (Wohngebiet Eselsberg). 

Common to all after leaving highway B10:

Take the left lane and follow the walls to the left (Street "Beim Alten Fritz"). Take the first opportunity to enter the fortification by car ("Griechisches Clubheim"). 

PARK HERE! Follow the pathway through the second gate. DON`T DRIVE THERE!!!! This is a trap!!! There is NO PARKING SITE behind the second gate nor ANY possibility to park for NOBODY!!! REALLY!!! NO! FOR NOBODY! It´s not forbidden, but it is IMPOSSIBLE!!!! THERE IS ALSO NO POSSIBILITY TO TURN! Your car will have no chance to get out again!
(Sorry for that. Experience shows, that this fact is ignored at every event)

PEOPLE WHO PASS THE SECOND GATE BY CAR ARE TO PAY A ROUND OF BEER!!!!

After the second gate, follow the path inside the walls for about 150 m. You can`t miss it. If you see any car, ask the driver for a beer!
